The word keiki is Hawaiian for "baby" or "child", literally "the little one".
Teaching an 8 year old how to work with a demo simulation on markets was a natural step after going over simple math steps on a white board with a calculator. It really isn't as complicated as it might appear below. The original motivation I had was to teach simple math problems using decimals and fractions Kiana was learning in school. I also learned she was being immersed in a computer lab and familiar navigating computer screens with a mouse in her class. Learning on a market simulator was surprisingly easy for her with a little guidance.
Because she loves pictures and drawing, working with charts was fun for her while watching price movement. Our main purpose was simply having fun while matching some of the concepts we'd talk about on paper to actual reality since she'd always watch and ask what I was working on at night while in Asia.
Becoming familiar with steps and a process, is what we both found helpful aside from spending quality time learning together.
